6 weeks-4/18-4/24

Getting a kiss from Aunt Amy....Ava continues to hold her head up. She is now laughing and smiling all the time. 

Ava LOVES her changing table. She smiles and laughes , but most of all she stretches and kicks when on her changing table. If she gets fussy, we lay her on the changing table, and she's a happy baby!!

A Little Shock

Grandma Snyder

10/31/1909- 04/14/2010

On Easter, Ava got to meet her Great Grandma Snyder. Grandma immediately asked to hold Ava. Ava was awake at first and looked at Grandma. Ava then yawned a few times and fell asleep. Grandma held Ava for quite awhile and said many times that Ava is beautiful. Grandma was very excited to meet her first great grandchild and all through the pregnancy, she kept saying...that baby is mine!! In July when we first announced we were pregnant, Grandma said that it only took her to be 100 to be a great grandma!!!!!! Sadly, Grandma Snyder passed away on 4/14, but we are all glad she got to meet Ava.

5 weeks old- 4/11-4/17

On 4/13, Ava went to the dr for her month check up. She weighed 11 pounds which put her in the 90th percentile for her age group.  She was 23 1/2 inches which put her off the charts for her age group. Ava had to get a vaccine which hurt Mommy more than her!!

Ava loves her sponge bath. Normally she hates tummy time, but I took a pic before she started to cry.

Go Orioles!!!!!!

Go Orioles!! Opening day was the other day. The O's lost that game. But, we are hoping for a winning season. We think Ava is a good luck charm since her birthday is March 8th, and Cal Ripken's number was 8.

Sleeping Ava

Ava does not look comfortable to me!! She moves all the time when she's sleeping and makes her way to the bottom of her bassinet. 

Ava is hard to wake up for feeding. She takes about 15 minutes to stretch before opening her eyes. 

One month!!

Ava is one month old!! She loves to play on the floor on her overhead gym. She doesn't always like tummy time. She hates her sponge baths!! She smiles all the time and noticed herself in the mirror.

Easter

Our Easter Bunny wasn't happy all day. She was hungry when this pic was taken. Ava had a busy Easter. She visited with Great Grandma Snyder, Grandpappy and Grandma Snyder, Aunt Amy/Uncle Tim, Grammy and Pappy Shockey, Great Grandma Walker, Aunt Kelly/Uncle Jim, Aunt Tammie, and cousins.
