18 weeks- 07/11/10-7/17/10

Ava hit 2 major milestones this week. First, she finally has enough hair that we could put a bow in it!! Second, she can lift her body up with her arms after she rolls over. She loves to play on the floor and rolls over all the time.

Vote for Baby Ava at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in the cutest baby contest. It's a penny a vote. All proceeds from the contest go to the Western Maryland Jaycees. 4 months!! 07/04/10-07/10/10

Ava is 4 months old!!!!!!! She's 15.5 pounds. She loves to go swimming in her new pool. She still sleeps through the night. She's grabbing things now instead of batting at them. She loves to swing on the porch and see the birds. She loves to sing and sings herself to sleep sometimes.

Happy 4th of July!! Ava spent the 4th visiting Aunt Sue at New Germany State Park where Aunt Sue was camping.

The jumperoo tired Ava out!! :)

Ava is starting to put her feet in her mouth. But, instead of reaching her foot to her mouth like most babies do. Ava bends over to her feet.

Derby Day: 07/03/10

This was Ava's first Derby Day. Daddy designed car #33 sponsored by First Peoples, painted by our friend, Eddie,  and driven by our friend Mikayla Troutman.  Ava even got her own outfit to wear to cheer on Mikayla. Derby Day was a big day for Ava. We started the day by having breakfast at the Princess. We watched Derby Day and then went to a car cruise at The Freeze. Ava was on the go from 10am until 11pm and was as good as gold all day long!! :)

Pappy and our friend Shanda helped to babysit Ava so Mommy and Daddy could watch the races. We were also cheering on Luke #2 and Ashley #61. Luke came in 5th place....way to go Luke!! :)

Mikayla went 2 for 2....she did a great job!! We think Ava was her good luck charm. We all had a great time watching Mikayla race. Ava wanted to pose with the car because she may follow in Mommy's footsteps and ride in derby day someday!! 

After Derby Day, we went to the car cruise where Aunt Sue took Ava for a walk, and Ava sang to Great-Grandma Nene.

Ava enjoyed listening to local talent Ricky Howsare singing Elvis songs, Ava's favorite. And, at the cruise MY BUD from Frederick surprised me. She was motorcycle riding all day and ended up in Frostburg. Good to see ya Bud. :)

Ava got her very own car. This will be the only car she'll be driving for many, many years.

16 weeks old: 6/27/10-7/03/10

Ava continues to be very alert. She grabs her rattles or anything in front of her and tries to put it in her mouth. She sleeps through the night still, and as this picture shows, she can sleep anywhere!! She sings herself to sleep.
