6 months!!!!! 09/05/11-/9/11/10

We camped from until Sunday, 09/05/10. And, on 09/05/10, Ava got her first tooth. It's the bottom left tooth.

Happy Birthday Daddy!! On 09/06/10 we celebrated Daddy's birthday. Aunt Amy made from scratch a yummy carrot cake...Daddy's favorite!! 

Happy 6 Months on 09/08/10!! Ava is a happy baby who loves Mickey Mouse, Elvis Presley, swinging on the front porch, and getting a bath. She continues to say mum mum mum mum.  She is an expert at sitting up,  and when on all fours, rocks back and forth. She still sleeps through the night (thank goodness)!!  She squeals for no reason at all and keeps Mommy and Daddy laughing all the time.

Ava is 17.8 pounds which puts her in the 75th % for her age group and is 27 1/2 inches which puts her in the 90th % for her age. Ava had to get 3 shots and this time screamed!!

One year ago, on 09/11/09 when Mommy was 3 months pregnant, Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Amy, Uncle Tim, Aunt Sue, and Chris went to Alaska on a cruise. Mommy and Daddy bought Shock Baby some Alaska clothes. Ava is showing them off!! Ava can't wait to go on a cruise. She's prefer a Disney cruise.

Ava is helping Grammy and Grandpappy Snyder with preparations for Great Grandma Snyder's yard sale.

Ava helped with Great Grandma Snyder's yard sale!! It was cold that day so Ava was bundled up. She enjoyed playing in her exersaucer and a box. We think she's worth more than $.25!! :)

25 Weeks Old: 08/29/10-09/04/10

This is the very best line from a movie.....guess what movie......DIRTY DANCING!!!! One of the best movies ever. Ava wanted to make sure we all know that nobody puts THIS baby in the corner!! :)

Ava is sitting up for the first time in the stroller. She went for a 2 mile walk with Mommy.

Ava attended her first Cruisin' Main Street Frostburg on Sept. 2nd. Daddy made her outfit for her. She was on the go all day. She strolled up and down Main Street with Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt Amy and saw many people and cars. And, she helped Mommy and Aunt Amy sell t-shirts. Finally at 10:30pm, she fell asleep in Grammy Snyder's arms.

This was the 9th year for Cruisin' Main Street with over 600 cars and 3 bands. It was a fun night with perfect weather!! Next year we're hoping to celebrate 10 years with fireworks.

This is the first time Ava heard the old cars rev their motors. She was not letting go of Daddy.

Finally Ava could not keep her eyes open any longer. She fought sleep since so much was going on. But, at 10:30pm (way past her normal bedtime) she fell asleep with Grammy and Rosemary.

Ava camped for the first time at the Street Rod Roundup Labor Day weekend. She slept through the train whistles, trash truck, and loud cars. She is a camper!! She's playing with Daddy in the popup.

The weather was chilly at night and in the mornings. So, Ava, with assistance from Daddy and Grandma Shockey, is modeling her new hat/scarf/mittens she wore.

This was a big week for Baby Ava.....first time sitting up in the stroller, first time going to Cruisin' Main St, and first time camping!!

24 Weeks old!! 08/22/10-8/28/10

Ava is very  active. This is a favorite toy at Grammy and Grandpappy's house!!

To honor Cal Ripken's 50th Birthday on August 24th, Ava wore her Orioles outfit.
