8 Months!!
I am now 8 months pregnant......8 weeks/56 days to go!! Mike has worked hard on the nursery. He's painted the walls and ceiling, put new flooring down, and installed shelves in the closet. But, the nursery is not done yet. Shock Baby is very active but especially active at night when I want to go to sleep. Every night before going to bed, we listen to the heart beat and feel movement. My last doctor's visit was 12/30/09. Shock Baby was moving so much it was hard for the nurse to get a good count of the heart beat. The heart beat was 160 but is normally in the high 130's, low 140's. I think the heart beat was higher because Baby was moving around so much.
On 12/24/09, I happened to be sitting at my computer at work looking down reading and saw movement for the first time. I saw something poke up and down and then saw my whole stomach shift to the left and then to the right. Pretty neat!!
Birthday gift
One of my birthday gifts from Mike was a rocking chair for the nursery. He also got me a wireless printer/copier/scanner so I can print/copy/scan lots of baby pics.
Happy New Year - Happy Birthday!
I celebrated my birthday on 01/01/10 by going to Sante Fe Grille to eat and then eating an Amy-made German chocolate cake....yum!! I asked for baby stuff for my birthday. Right now, Elvis and Priscilla are Mom and Dad's grandbabies. I hope they don't get jealous of Shock Baby. :) 2010 is going to be a big year!
Christmas decorations
Some people thought we wouldn't decorate this Christmas.....wrong!! We put up the main Christmas tree, the travel tree, the village, and the 2 trees for Shock Baby.
Each person who came to our house at Christmas got to put a jingle bell on the "boy" or "girl" tree - according to their prediction. We do not know what we're having. Mike thinks girl, and I think boy. So far the girl tree is winning, but a few more people have to put bells on the trees.
